Climb higher and harder than ever before with our multi-pitch rock climbing course

Designed to help you develop higher levels of skills and technicalities in rock climbing, this course focuses thoroughly on preparation, communication skills and safety techniques. So you can go beyond single pitch, climb more rock, and advance to awe-inspiring new heights.

When one pitch just isn’t enough, multi-pitch climbing unlocks new climbing potential and endless terrain. For those who want to go further, multi-pitching is a true climbing journey that will extend your skills and climbing repertoire.

Flexible multi-pitch climbing options to suit you

The Social Nature Movement team offers you the choice and flexibility to choose your duration of multi-pitch climbing.

We have options for a days multi-pitch climbing, two days/overnight, four days and seven days of multi-pitch climbing.

Our multi-pitch climbing options are for anyone wanting to start multi-pitch climbing, get guided around, learn more about skills and knowledge or simply spend time in nature and multi-pitch climb as much as possible with a guide on your side.

When multi-pitch climbing you are climbing the longest climbs

Multi pitch climbing giving that feeling of being miles above the ground and incredible views to match.

But lets keep things simple too: each 'pitch' of climb you do is only as long as your rope, on average these rock climbs range from 30-50m, so the only question is whether you are up for a two-pitch 50m climb at Kawakawa Bay, or 8 pitches, 230m in Queenstown.

Our guided multi-pitch climbing experiences take you up through the pitches while our guides allow you climb multiple rope lengths up for the feeling of maximum learning. If you are quick to learn, we then take turns yo-yoing as you lead and they lead. At the top, your hard work is rewarded with incredible vistas below and a massive abseils down (or sometimes a walk down). With stunning scenery this Multi-Pitch Rock Climbing course is a must do experience for climbers who are competent seconding.

We have small guide to client ratios

Over the Multi-Pitch Rock Climbing course you will lead the pitches and make safe changeovers under the watchful eye of your guide.

Multi-pitch climbing can be scary and most people - even climbers - are scared of heights. With experience and intelligence, one both becomes desensitised to heights and better at managing their fear of heights.

Not really, the longer duration you have with us the higher chance of success we can get you confident and competent. Yes, multi-pitch climbing involves more technical skills, but everything is done in logical progressions at your pace. We start at whatever phase and journey you are at.
