Maintain your technique and fitness, because the best way to train is to do it! Seems simple but if you want to fine tune your skills or just spend more time with your activity, join our Stand up Paddle Club.
Join us every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings for a feel-good pre-work workout. If you are stuck for a partner, come meet other athletes and learn from each other. Let your endorphins flow with the ‘athletes high’ lingering well into the work day.
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) journeys
Going beyond the beach on a SUP, we’ll meander some of Auckland’s 40+ mangrove inlets and explore the untouched hidden bays we encounter along the way.
It’s not quite walking on water, but it’s close. And what a unique vantage point you get from up here.
Gliding on the calm waters of Auckland’s tidal inlets, join us on a stand-up paddleboarding journey where we’ll discover stunning scenery rarely seen by the average Aucklander.
After going through essential safety skills and paddling techniques that will help you get the most out of your experience, we’ll set off in search of mangroves, hidden bays, and any marine wildlife that decides to come along for the ride.

In Auckland’s Gulf, we paddle through mangroves, into inlets, along coastal shores and sometimes to the local islands. We have 4-12 people on our trips, so they are small and friendly. Quality Starboard equipment and experienced coaches can be part of the package if you don’t own a board, so all you need to do is turn up.
During our club excursions, we focus on fitness, leisure, technique and fun.
Fitness improves your cardiovascular system and strength conditioning with total body impact. We develop your fitness and experience on the water using structured interval training designed to increase fitness and strength.
Leisurely outings enable us to relax, rejuventive and recover. Being mindful of the inner city beauty while enjoying the wellbeing benefits of being on, in or near water. Sometimes a leisurely pace, we absorb and enjoy our beautiful natural surroundings.
Technique improves your movement, consolidates your foundations and increases efficiency and power. This helps reduce injury.
Come join us with our fun and friendly club, covering everything from equipment and safety to getting you up and moving on the water.
