School Holiday Programme Activities
Just because school’s out, doesn’t mean the learning has to stop. So, through a mix of school-based activities and local day trips, we design fun and inclusive school holiday programmes that build your child’s skills and knowledge while invigorating their sense of adventure.
Big believers in ‘everyone, anywhere, anyway’, our team of multidisciplinary guides can offer a whole range of activities for children of all abilities throughout Auckland. And we can partner with schools to tailor holiday programmes that work specifically for your pupils.
More work and fewer holidays for parents but less work and more holidays for children.

New Zealand's Term One April Autumn school holiday programs, also referred to as "school holiday programmes," provide a range of benefits and exciting features for students during their break. Let's explore the key advantages and characteristics of these programs.
Learning Opportunities:
School holiday programmes offer valuable learning opportunities outside the traditional classroom setting. They provide workshops, activities, and interactive experiences that allow students to explore new subjects, develop skills, and broaden their knowledge. These programmes may include science experiments, arts and crafts, coding workshops, cultural activities, and more. Students can engage in hands-on learning, fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. These programmes nurture a love for learning and encourage students to pursue their interests beyond the academic curriculum.
Skill Development:
School holiday programmes focus on skill development. They offer a diverse range of activities that help students acquire and enhance various skills. These programmes may include sports, arts, music, drama, cooking, and leadership workshops. Students have the opportunity to develop teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. They can also explore their artistic or athletic abilities, building self-confidence and self-esteem. These programmes foster personal growth and provide a supportive environment for students to develop and refine their talents.
Socialization and Relationship Building:
School holiday programmes facilitate socialization and relationship building. They bring together students from different schools, backgrounds, and age groups, creating opportunities for social interaction and friendship. Through collaborative activities, team-building exercises, and shared experiences, students learn to communicate effectively, respect diversity, and work together towards common goals. These programmes create a supportive and inclusive community where students can connect, make new friends, and develop important social skills. The relationships formed during these programmes can have a positive impact on their social development and contribute to a sense of belonging and camaraderie.
Personal Growth and Confidence Building:
School holiday programmes promote personal growth and confidence building. They provide a safe and encouraging environment for students to step out of their comfort zones, take on challenges, and discover their strengths. Whether it's overcoming fears during outdoor adventures or presenting a performance in front of an audience, students are encouraged to push their boundaries and embrace personal growth. These programmes foster resilience, self-belief, and a sense of achievement. Students gain confidence in their abilities, develop a growth mindset, and become more self-assured individuals.
Fun and Recreation:
School holiday programmes prioritize fun and recreation. They offer a diverse range of activities that cater to various interests and age groups. Students can engage in outdoor adventures, sports, arts and crafts, games, and other recreational activities. These programmes provide an opportunity to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories with their peers. Students can explore nature, enjoy physical activities, unleash their creativity, and experience the joy of play. These programmes create a positive and enjoyable environment where students can unwind, recharge, and make the most of their school holiday.
