School Holiday Programme Activities
Just because school’s out, doesn’t mean the learning has to stop. So, through a mix of school-based activities and local day trips, we design fun and inclusive holiday programmes that build your child’s skills and knowledge while invigorating their sense of adventure.
Big believers in ‘everyone, anywhere, anyway’, our team of multidisciplinary guides can offer a whole range of activities for children of all abilities throughout Auckland. And we can partner with schools to tailor holiday programmes that work specifically for your pupils.
More work and fewer holidays for parents but less work and more holidays for children.

New Zealand's Term Three October Spring school holiday programs, also known as "school holiday programmes," offer a multitude of benefits and exciting features for students during their break. Let's explore the key advantages and characteristics of these programs.
Outdoor Exploration and Nature Activities:
School holiday programmes during Term Three October Spring provide ample opportunities for students to engage in outdoor exploration and nature-based activities. These programs often include bushwalks, nature trails, environmental conservation projects, gardening workshops, and wildlife encounters. Students can connect with nature, learn about local flora and fauna, and develop a deeper appreciation for the environment. These activities promote physical fitness, stimulate curiosity, and foster a sense of environmental stewardship.
Skills Development:
School holiday programmes focus on skills development. They offer a diverse range of activities that help students acquire and enhance various skills. These may include sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, drama, cooking, and leadership workshops. Students have the opportunity to develop teamwork, communication, problem-solving, creativity, and resilience. These programmes nurture personal growth and provide a supportive environment for students to explore their talents and abilities. The acquisition of these skills contributes to their overall development and prepares them for future challenges.
Cultural and Educational Experiences:
School holiday programmes provide cultural and educational experiences. They may include visits to museums, art galleries, historical sites, or participation in cultural workshops. These programs expose students to different aspects of New Zealand's heritage, arts, and culture. Students can learn about indigenous traditions, explore historical landmarks, or engage in activities that celebrate cultural diversity. These experiences foster a sense of appreciation, understanding, and respect for different cultures, promoting global citizenship and broadening students' horizons.
Creative Expression and Artistic Development:
During the October Spring school holiday programmes, students have opportunities for creative expression and artistic development. These programmes may include arts and crafts workshops, painting, drawing, sculpture, music, and drama activities. Students can unleash their creativity, explore new artistic mediums, and develop their artistic talents. These activities not only provide an outlet for self-expression but also promote cognitive development, emotional well-being, and self-confidence. Students can discover their unique artistic voice and gain a sense of accomplishment as they create and showcase their work.
Socialization and Personal Growth:
School holiday programmes encourage socialization and personal growth. Students have the opportunity to meet and interact with peers from different schools, backgrounds, and cultures. Through team-building exercises, group activities, and shared experiences, students develop essential social skills such as communication, cooperation, empathy, and respect. These programs create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can build friendships, gain self-confidence, and develop a sense of belonging. Students also learn to navigate diverse social dynamics, enhancing their interpersonal skills and fostering personal growth.
