Sunset Tours
Duration: 2hrs
Work’s done, your done and the day’s done, yet the best of the sun has only begun. Finish your day with feelings off warmth, sensations rejuvenating the soul and sunset tour experiences enhanced by the suns’ transformative colour spectrums.
Going on a sunset tour is simple and easy. Most people are able to commit to our small time frames, small tour groups and safe adventures requiring little fitness and skill.
Sunset tour occurrences
We meet 1 hour before the sun sets. This means meeting during the evening twilight stages at dusk; starting with civil twilight (0-30mins after sunset), nautical twilight (30mins-1hr after sunset) and astronomical twilight (1-1.5hrs after sunset).
During the civil twilight stage, opposite to where the sun sets, you may be greeted with Venus's Girdle / Anti-twilight Arch.
'Golden hour' (or magic hour) takes place during the first hour after the sun rises or the hour before the sun sets.
Sunset tour options
SuP: Point Chevalier
Sea Kayak: St Heliers Beach / Browns Island
Hike / Walk / Tramp: Mt Eden
When booking a Sunset tour, please be mindful of the weather! Especially rain and cloud cover; or we won't see the sun set!
