Full Moon Tours

2 hrs

Let the full moon light your outdoors adventure with us. Often people have restless sleeps during the full moon, so use a little of that energy and join us on a magical moon-lit excursion.

Full moon tours are unique adventures using natures natural led-light, all the better being outdoors and doing it outside of work. The world comes alive during nightly full moon tours; critters scurry, fungi and organisms glow, crepuscular animals come out to play, and many more moments occur.

Our full moon tours run five days every month, two days either side of - and including - the full moon, so it is not always officially full moon, but imperceptibly impressive.

When booking a Full Moon tour, please be mindful of the weather! Especially rain and cloud cover; or we won't see the full moon and be guided by its light!

One of the unique aspects of our full moon tours is the opportunity to witness the natural beauty of New Zealand under the light of the full moon. From the lush forests of the North Island to the rugged coastlines of the South Island, a full moon NZ tour is the perfect way to experience the country in a new and exciting way. Whether you're a local or a tourist, these tours are an unforgettable way to explore the natural beauty of New Zealand.

In addition to the natural beauty, our full moon Auckland tours also offer the chance to see the city in a new light. The bright moonlight illuminates the city's landmarks and architecture, creating a truly magical experience. Our full moon tours in Auckland are a great way to see the city from a different perspective and make memories that will last a lifetime.

We also offer a variety of night walking tours NZ wide. These tours are perfect for those who want to experience the natural beauty of New Zealand in a more intimate way. Our guides are experts in the local flora and fauna, and will take you on a journey through the wilderness, pointing out the unique and fascinating aspects of the New Zealand wilderness.

So whether you're looking for an exciting full moon New Zealand tour or a more intimate night walking tour, we have something for everyone. Join us on one of our tours and experience the magic of the full moon in New Zealand.

We go exploring at night under the guidance of the moons light. The world is a different place at night. We will educate you about the moon itself, the stars, darkness, the local places and much more!

It's OK, we will guide you along. We bring lanterns and torches too. Our endeavours are easy and simple, nothing is ever too demanding and you will be with other people.

It is safer than being in a vehichle. At night, one is more observant and aware with heightened senses, so it is generally safer!

We select the best staff for the job based on their skills, knolwedge and experiences. They will be an SNM staff member or we will bring in support from equally competent contractors. Sometimes we also bring in (semi)celebrity guests!
