We also offer the opportunity to learn about the New Zealand education system and its eight learning areas such as English, the Arts, and Science.

If you are an international group coming to New Zealand or a school travelling abroad, we help to meet your outdoor international education learning outcomes.

Duration, location, capacity, activities, seasonality and other variables are all taken care of through SNM educational tours.

We have gear and equipment for all land, water and snow based education abroad activities and adventures.

Be introduced to the New Zealand education system, the kiwi-curriculum that delves into eight learning areas: english, the arts, health and physical education, learning languages, mathematics and statistics, science, social sciences and technology.

We also enable opportunities for international students in:

  • leadership development,
  • interpersonal and communication skills
  • strategic planning skills
  • technical skills
  • and more…

Our international education approach

At SNM, we have core program themes, coming directly from our brand name focusing on people, places and practices.

Social – culture

Embrace cultural immersion and leanr about the people of New Zeland; NZ has six ethnic groups (Māori, Pacific peoples, Asian, MELAA (Middle Eastern / Latin American / African), and ‘Other ethnicity’) and over 200 ethnicities. So you are likely to find someone of your own culture, while indeed meeting kiwis / New Zealanders.

Māori are the indigenous people of the land (Aotearoa – land of the long white cloud).

During an SNM study abroad experience, you might take part in various cultural activities; the way New Zealanders live their lives.

Nature – environment

Get amongst environmental practices through guardianship and protection of New Zealand; we call it the Tiaki promise, careing for people, place and culture. Just like you would look after your own country and home, we do this now and for future generations. We might engage in local conservation and restoration efforts, this could be with various flora and fauna. Planting trees, seeing rare birds, kiwis and much more.

Movement – adventure

Land, water and snow activities are always around the corner. Just step outside in New Zealand and the advenbture world is your perpetual oyster. Go in any direction and something fun is to be had when beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Indeed, there are ofcourse some places and activities mroe popular than others and SNM endeavours to always meet your expectations.

Through our Adventure Activities, you can participate safely knowing that you are in good hands. We are externally audited by other people, meaning industry experts whoi we have not self-selected, come in to check our operations are safe and sound. Part of that means we can offer almost anything:

  • Rock climbing and abseiling
  • Sea kayaking
  • Coasteering / boogie boarding
  • White Water (river) kayaking and Packrafting
  • Tramping / Hiking / Walking

The activitres are usually a by-product of a greater goal: underlying themese might request that leadership is a priority thus determining the activity. Location and weather might too determine what we do and do not do.
