The wild west coast is more gentle than you think. We carefully crafted a one-of-a-kind ocean experience taking you where few people venture, safely. We use boogie boards as our mode of travel and it is as cool now as it ever was - young and old alike - only even cooler on this particular tour at Bethells Beach.
Join us on this inspiring educational Bethells journey with a spin of adventure as we boogie our way back catching waves to shore.
Do not attempt this yourself; go with our trained and experienced staff with health and safety protocols and equipment.
This four hour Bethells Boogie tour is ever more adventurous because you will only know when we are running it no more than seven days in advance. To find out when, keep an eye on our website, follow our social media and subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed and secure your place on Bethells Boogie!
The Xena and Hercules films made use of this area for scene setting, one might remember ‘Callisto’s Cave”.
On our Bethells Boogie tour, with a watchful eye, you might see calcite formations.
We make our way through 'the gut' and to the grandiose Main cave (“Great Highway”) being 180m long and the longest through-sea-cave in New Zealand!
So who's keen to boogie at Bethells?

Yes they exist but there has never been a shark attack at Bethells Beach, ever. They also stay away from rocks and reefs where we will be and they are deterred by bright colours which is most of our equipment.
Colder but not cold because of the Auckland climate and our warm wetsuits.
We still go out and people love it just as much with or without waves.
