The Journey

Day 1 – Mountains, Bikes & Hot Pools

Christchurch → Hanmer Springs → Kaikōura

 

The adventure begins in Christchurch before heading north through the mountains towards Hanmer Springs and the spectacular Kaikōura coastline.

The Experience

Start with adventure from day one. Students take in Christchurch from above, get active on the Port Hills and then relax together in Hanmer Springs’ famous thermal pools before continuing towards Kaikōura.

Day 2 – Day 2 – Day 2 – Ocean Wildlife & Cook Strait

Kaikōura → Picton → Wellington

 

Wake up on one of New Zealand’s most spectacular coastlines before continuing north and crossing from the South Island to the North Island.

Experience New Zealand’s capital before leaving the east behind and travelling towards the wild landscapes of the west coast.

Day 4 –  Taranaki Adventure Day

Explore Mt Taranaki & New Plymouth

 

Leave the vehicle behind for a day dedicated to exploring one of New Zealand’s most distinctive regions.

Go from mountain to ocean in one extraordinary day. Hike through ancient native forest beneath Mt Taranaki before swapping hiking boots for a surfboard on New Plymouth’s coast.

Day 5 –  Underground New Zealand

New Plymouth → Waitomo → Auckland

The final road trip takes students through the central North Island and into one of New Zealand’s most famous natural environments before arriving in Auckland.
