Term Two Winter School Holiday programmes – snowscapes are places kids should learn the importance of clothes, keeping safe and having fun
The July school holidays are a fantastic opportunity for families across NZ to enjoy the great outdoors. With winter in full swing, it’s the perfect time to explore various winter holiday programmes available in Auckland. At Social Nature Movement, we believe that engaging in outdoor activities not only keeps kids active but also helps them connect with nature. Our programmes are designed to inspire creativity and foster teamwork while providing fun and exciting experiences that kids will remember for years to come.
Day 1 & 2
Day 1 & 2
Participants progress at least one ability level by demonstrating controlled stopping, turning, and safe slope awareness under instruction.
Day 3
Day 3
Participants plan, build, and occupy a functional snow shelter while demonstrating safe tool use and ventilation awareness.
Day 4
Day 4
Participants demonstrate safe movement on steep snow/ice using basic mountaineering techniques and hazard recognition.
Day 5
Day 5
Participants demonstrate controlled speed management and safe decision-making while sharing space with others in a snow-play setting.
Spend the full five days together, combining snow sports, mountain skills and winter adventure into one immersive camp experience.

Places are limited to maintain strong supervision and a positive group experience. All specialist activity equipment is supplied, with clear information provided before each program day.
